Quilters of Jefferson County County are invited to design and create a quilt or wall hanging based on the two books by William L. Sullivan, the 2013 Community Read author.

What are these books about?
Bill hikes through the wilderness of Oregon and he and his wife build a log cabin. In each there are unexpected adventures, a variety of Oregonians encountered, and nature’s beauty.

The books are rich with inspiration from Oregon's landscapes from the ocean to the mountains - the flora, fauna, geology, people, and history of this state.

    What’s a Community Read Quilt?
A quilt inspired by the books of Bill Sullivan to be displayed at the Art Adventure Gallery in Madras in April 2013 and shared with our communities.

We are amazed at the quilts made here. This is an opportunity for others to see them.

    What are the quilt parameters?
We welcome all styles and sizes of quilts inspired by the books - traditional, wall, landscape.

Quilters of all ability levels are encouraged to participate.
